Vallie Duncan is the owner and artist for Plasters of Italy. His first project using the Safra plasters was in 2003 in Mckinney, Texas.
Before his venture in applying Italian plasters he had a following for his unique faux, and painting abilities. He has completed projects in Highland Park, Frisco, Plano, Dallas, Mckinney, Fairview, Southlake, Allen, Little Elm, Prosper, Grapevine, Richardson and other surrounding cities.

Plasters of Italy has also completed projects in Palm Springs California, Dayton Ohio, San Antonio Texas, Houston, Texas and other cities across the United States.

Vallie Duncan has worked with some of the top designers and architects in the country which has allowed him to advance in larger projects. What makes his company unique is that he does not sub out any of the work. Vallie Duncan does most of the work by himself, with larger projects he selects other trained applicators to assist him.

Prep work is involved in every project on some level. At times surfaces need to be skimmed or floated smooth before the Venetian Plasters application. What makes Plasters of Italy a better choice for hiring an applicator is that he can handle every aspect of the project. He has many years of experience with walls including textures, framing, floating, tape and bed, painting and all other aspects concerning wall surfacing.

Having completed over a hundred different projects using the Safra Venetian plasters, Vallie Duncan has created a unique balance of customers. His projects range from small powder baths to entire houses. He can work with any budget.

Plasters of Itlay is based in the Frisco, Mckinney and Plano area and enjoys the short commutes. When working further distances or even out of state he finds it rewarding that he can spread his services abroad.

The success began early in 2003 when the company began realizing that the final outcome of a project needs to be recognized as a work of art.

Media

D Home Magazine (front cover) 2005 Show House
D Magazine Best of the Best (listing)

Paint Pro Magazine (feature)

WFAA TV (feature spot)
